Are You Due For A Life Review?

Can you believe it's already September? When did that happen? This quick passing of time (though really just an illusion) reminds me of the importance of staying present and enjoying every day we have here on this Earth. The preciousness of life is easily forgotten when we are stressed with bills, work, to-do lists... the list goes on. In those moments of overwhelm, the greatest thing we can do is push the RESET button and re-evaluate what is important to us and how we want to feel!

So what is a life review? We might have heard this term used to describe the process one goes through after they've crossed over. It's an opportunity to examine the life and see how well you lived. How much love did you give?  How much joy did you experience? And when did you withhold it? The classic tale of A Christmas Carol has Ebeneezer Scrooge transformed by his own life review. When we can examine where we are, and where we want to be WITHOUT JUDGEMENT (that's the key here), we can press RESET on some of those intentions and commitments we may have dropped along the way. Maybe you've been wanting to follow your passion, but the comfort of a 9-5 has kept you from pursuing it. Or maybe you've been on-again-off-again with your health and wellness goals. Whatever the case, we all have moments when we step away from our selves, our passion, and our dreams. The great thing is... we can always RE-COMMIT to them! In any moment when we feel off-track, we can always CHOOSE to align with Love, asking...

WHAT WOULD LOVE HAVE ME CHOOSE?

This week, my clients and I have been working on our own RE-COMMITTMENTS LIST, and the result has caused a surge of new, creative, life-inspired energy to get our butts moving! So I ask you...

WHAT ARE YOU RE-COMMITTING TO?

Make A List of:

  • Your Relationships (ex. I commit to being more present)
  • Your Work/ Passion (ex. I commit to showing up 100%)
  • Your Health (ex. I commit to moving my body at least 5 times a week)
  • Your Mindset (ex. I commit to practice non-judgment with myself and others)

  • Your Joy (ex. I commit to doing one thing each day that brings me joy)
  • Your Peace (ex. I commit to a daily meditation practice)
  • Your Financial Well-Being (ex. I commit to bringing more awareness to my spending)

Once you've made your list, create a plan of action to help you HONOR and implement those re-committments! If you need help, I'm happy to support you: JUST ASK!

And for those times when you are on the verge of giving up (cause we all have those days!) here are some questions to help you align with the best choice:

  • AM I HONORING MYSELF IN THIS MOMENT?
  • AM I SHOWING UP FOR MYSELF?
  • AM I BEING A LEADER IN MY OWN LIFE?
  • HOW DO I WANT TO FEEL?
  • AM I WILLING TO CHOOSE SOMETHING BETTER FOR MYSELF?

Let the drive of your life be how much LOVE you can give, how much JOY you can experience, and how much LIGHT you can spread... so that at the end of it, when it's time for the REAL Life Review, you can say... "Wow... Lifetime Well Done!"
